One thing we all need to understand as we undertake this training programme is that there is a big difference between gaining Biblical information and receiving spiritual revelation. The result of Biblical information is an increase in our knowledge, whereas the aim of spiritual revelation is that we might be transformed by the Holy Spirit into the likeness of Jesus. A Bible study course, in itself, can never prepare anyone for meeting Jesus; much less can it prepare anyone to minister life and transformation into the lives of others.
Read: Ephesians 1:17-19:
“ [My prayer is] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power in us who believe, according to the working of His great might.”
The above scripture is a part of Paul’s prayer for the Christian believers in Ephesus. Paul’s words enforce the fact that the will of God for all His children is that, through revelation from the Holy Spirit, they will understand all that Jesus Christ has accomplished, all they now are in Him, and begin to experience the full transforming power of His Spirit in their lives. Each day is intended to be one where a new spiritual light is turned on in our hearts and minds, leading us to put away all that offends God and to put on more of the life and character of Jesus.
Transformed international have been involved in many conferences, including Christian leadership training conferences, where seemingly mature believers have confessed ongoing sins of sexual immorality, financial mismanagement, lying to one another, hatred of fellow believers, and mistreatment of their wives and families. How is it that we have drifted so far from understanding the need to live transformed lives in the fear of the Lord? The answer lay in the fact that we have gained much Biblical knowledge but experienced very little spiritual transformation. Only truly transformed lives will reflect the character of Jesus.
This course is designed to not just give you Biblical knowledge but rather to see you spiritually transformed into mature disciples of Jesus, ready for His return – disciples who are equipped to minister true spiritual life to others. However, even this course cannot guarantee this. You will need to personally engage with the message of each lesson. Hopefully, the opportunity to personally reflect on each subject at the end of each lesson will bring you to your knees in prayer, crying out to God for the spiritual transformation that only His Spirit and His Word can bring about.
